A Warning

In the past few days, we have covered only the basics of spiritual warfare.  There is so much more to learn.  There are many other teachers that can go into this topic much more in depth than we have.  We have simply given you the crash course to get you fighting the way you should be.  Go to your local Christian book store and get a book or two on spiritual warfare.  Also, while you are there pick up a book on intercession.  If you need help, ask.

But, as we close this topic for the time being, we need to issue a warning.  Do not be surprised when it seems that heat just got turned up.  Don't be surprised when it seems like the battle just got harder.  Don't be fooled...it has!  The heat got turned up and the battle just became bloodier.  You have just crossed into enemy territory.

In the suiting up for battle, in the praise, in the intercession...you have served notice to the enemy that what has gone on will stop in Jesus name!  Up until now you may have been standing but the enemy has only been taking pot-shots at you.  Now that you are ready to fight it is going to get more intense.  You are going into his arena and are taking back what belongs to you.  Expect it to get harder!

This does not mean that you will lose though.  Jesus gave to his disciples, and therefore to us, power over unclean spirits and all sickness and disease (Mark 6:7).  If you read the final book, Revelation, WE WIN!!  And we serve the only God to have come down from heaven and became flesh, died and rose on the third day, and came back with keys to death, hell, and the grave.

The enemy will try to get you to doubt by telling you lies.  Don't listen to them.  Instead, claim the promises of God!  Fill your life with the presence of God.  Where God is where His presence is...and where His presence is the enemy cannot be!  Light and darkness cannot inhabit the same space.  So, bring the light into your marriage and life.  Allow Him to illuminate all the dark areas.  When God comes in, the devil has to leave.

We write this today so that you will have REAL HOPE!  We don't want to mislead you into thinking that because you put the armor on or because you worshipped that everything will go back to the way it should be.  In fact, it won't.  But, the time that you spend on your knees, worshipping, and in His presence is never wasted time.  By doing the work and preparation for the battle, you will be building a spiritual army that will back your every move!

Square you shoulders back and grit your teeth....your marriage is being restored and the enemy cannot stop God as He starts to work!  Don't lose heart at what you are currently seeing.  Look through the eyes of faith...God's eyes...and you will see the fulfillment of His promises to you.
